Students Recognized at CLASS Contests

Congratulations to our students who were recognized in the Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools contests.

In late March, Greenhill students competed in two Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools contests – a talent show and a speech contest. The results are below.

2025 CLASS National Chinese Talent Show

In March, the Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools announced the winners of their 2nd Annual National Chinese Talent Contest. This is a vibrant event where K-12 students are empowered to showcase their talents in Chinese language and culture.

The following Greenhill students received awards:

  • Elise Nelson '27: Second Place, Non-heritage group: Singing
  • Ishaan Kandoth '25: Third Place, Non-heritage group: Martial Art
  • Jennifer Lei '30: Third Place, Heritage group: Art
  • Fiona Ou '31: Third Place, Heritage group: Instruments
  • Carson Yoo '30: Third Place, Non-heritage group: Instruments
  • Michelle Akins '25: Honorable Mention, Non-heritage group: Instruments

2025 CLASS National Chinese Speech Contest

Among over 1,000 contestants nationwide, Fiona Ou '31 advanced to the final stage at the Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools National Chinese Speech Contest. She earned an Honorable Mention in the Grade 6-8 Heritage Group.
