Middle School: Intro to Journalism

In Middle School, students can choose the elective option of foundational journalism courses, with an opportunity to contribute to our award-winning school newspaper, The Evergreen. This early engagement hones writing and reporting skills and instills a deep appreciation for ethical journalism and multimedia storytelling.

Upper School: The Evergreen, Cavalcade, & Montage

In Upper School, students can choose courses to continue to contribute to The Evergreen, further enhancing their journalistic abilities. They may also immerse themselves in the yearbook production process with our award-winning yearbook, Cavalcade. Here, they learn the intricacies of design, photography, and editorial work, capturing the essence of our school's annual experiences and milestones.

Another facet of our dynamic program is the literary magazine Montage. This award-winning publication allows students to showcase their writing, poetry, and art talents, offering a canvas for their creativity and personal expression.

Each of these publications – Cavalcade, The Evergreen, and Montage – provides a practical learning experience in writing, editing, and design and celebrates the diverse voices and talents of our student body. Our students emerge as confident communicators with the skills and empathy to influence and inspire in the wider world.
