Registration & Payment Terms |
---|
Please register your student for the grade they are entering in the fall 2025. (For example, if your child is currently in kindergarten, please register them for first-grade camps). We accept all major credit cards. If you prefer paying by check or cash, please notify the Summer on the Hill office at summer@greenhill.org or 972-628-5490. There is a $50 non-refundable registration fee and a $200 deposit when you initially register before May 1. All balances will be collected on May 1. If you would like to make partial payments or pay off your balance before our May 1 deadline, please contact our summer office. Cancellation: A $50 cancellation fee will be assessed for each week of camps/courses you have requested to cancel (per camper). Requests must be submitted/emailed (in writing) to summer@greenhill.org two (2) weeks before the camp’s actual start date to receive a partial refund. If your cancellation request comes within that two-week period, no refund will be issued. Schedule Change Fee: Students are allowed to change their schedule one time at no charge. A $15 schedule change fee will be charged for every subsequent change after the initial first change of schedule. Please Note: Once a camp has begun, changes in that week’s schedule are not permitted. ALL camp changes must be made through the summer office. You cannot make changes to your child’s schedule within the CampBrain portal. You will need to email summer@greenhill.org requesting a change in schedule, depending on camp availability. Before May 1, if you would like to add additional camps/classes, please notify our summer office to avoid having to make an additional $200 deposit. After May 1, depending on availability, you will be able to add more camps to your child’s schedule. However, if you need to make a change or switch a camp on your child’s schedule, we ask that you email the summer office with your request. |
Attire |
Please have your child wear comfortable t-shirts and shorts. Closed-toe or tennis shoes are preferred. Sneakers and socks are encouraged for all students. |
What to Bring |
A water bottle (with your child's name on it), sunscreen, and a snack. Sports equipment and/or swimsuits/towels may be applicable, depending on the camp you chose (please read the camp description fully for details). Please send your child with an allergy-aware lunch if you are in a 9:00 am – 3:00 pm camp or attending a morning camp followed by an afternoon camp. Campers will also have the option to purchase a lunch from Greenhill Dining Services or simply bring a sack lunch from home. |
Lunch & Snacks |
Lunch: Snacks: Please Note: Greenhill School is an Allergy Aware School. Summer on the Hill provides environmental controls for our summer campers which includes requesting parents/guardians not send any lunches and/or snacks containing nuts to our campus. All campers are encouraged to wash their hands before and after lunch and before returning to the class from recess. Campers will be educated to not trade or share food, snacks, drinks, or utensils. |
Nurses and Medical Clinic |
We have two summer nurses on call. A medication permission form must be completed and signed by a parent/guardian for any medication administered during camp hours. All prescription medication must be in its original container with the name of the student, name of the medication, dosage amount, and time the medication is to be administered. Over the counter medications provided must be in the original container and should include recommended dosage and directions. All medications will be stored in the Lower School Clinic. Medication should be brought directly to the nurses in the Lower School Nurse office. |
Student Shot Records |
Summer on the Hill encourages parents/guardians to ensure that their child's immunizations are current and up to date. |
Preschool Students |
Preschool students will attend camps in either the Early Childhood Building or the Lower School Building. Children must be 4 years old on or before May 27, 2025, to attend camps. They must be completely potty trained, without assistance from an adult, to attend camps. |
Pick-Up Authorization |
On the registration form, please provide the name(s), phone number(s), and driver’s license number(s) of each adult you have chosen as an authorized pick-up person for your child, including yourself (the child's parents/guardians). You will receive a carpool tag (via email) before each week's camp, which you can share with your authorized list of adults to pick-up your child. |
Extended Day Care |
Extended Day Care is offered before and after camp for age 4 to grade 8 during weeks 2-11. Please Note: We will NOT be offering Extended Day care for Week 1 (May 27 – May 31). Students enrolled in Extended Day will be supervised, and they will have opportunities to play outside (depending on the weather conditions and heat index), they can read books, create arts and crafts, play games, or just simply rest after a busy day of camp(s). A snack will be provided to campers enrolled in the afternoon Extended Day. Please have your carpool tag ready to show for authorized pick up. Morning care is from 7:30 – 9:00 am and costs $45 per week. Afternoon care is from 3:00 – 5:30 pm and costs $80 per week. Please Note: Children must be picked up by 5:30 pm. A $2 charge (per minute, per child) will go into effect if a child is picked up after 5:30 pm. |
Electronic Devices |
Cell phones and electronic devices are permitted but must be kept in backpacks during camp hours and lunch. Some classes require students to bring their own tech devices (a laptop or iPad) from home. Please see the class requirements on the camp/class descriptions to know what is needed. |
Bike Racks |
Campers enrolled in our biking camps (for the week) may leave their bikes on campus overnight in the bike racks outside the Phillips Family Athletic Center. Coaches will ensure bikes are locked to the rack after camp each day. Depending on your child’s schedule, bikes will be sent home at the end of each week’s camp, taken to the appropriate carpool lane or sent to the lobby of the Summer School Office (in case your child is enrolled in afternoon Extended Day). |
Swimming |
Some campers (please check camp/class descriptions) will swim in the indoor pool and/or participate in a splash day while at one of our camps. Instructors will provide advance notice of these occasions. Students will need to bring a swimsuit, towel, and a plastic bag to carry wet items. |
Visitors (Parents and Guardians) |
To ensure the safety of our students and faculty, entry to any Greenhill building will be strictly limited to our campers, faculty, and staff. We thank you in advance for adhering to these campus rules and appreciate you using the appropriate carpool lanes for drop-off and pick-up. |
Reporting Absences |
Due to us being busy with morning and afternoon carpools, we ask that you please send us an email to summer@greenhill.org to let us know of your child’s absence, a late arrival, or an early dismissal request. Please Note: The latest time we can accommodate an early dismissal request during a morning camp is 11:30 am. For an afternoon camp, the latest request to dismiss early is 2:30 pm. |
