Ways to Give

Gifts of Cash
Cash gifts are the simplest and easiest gifts you can make to Greenhill School. We accept personal checks, credit/debit cards (Mastercard, Visa, and American Express), outright cash, cashier’s checks, and money orders. Please make all checks and money orders payable to Greenhill School. You can make an online gift here. If you wish to make a wire transfer, please contact our Advancement Services Associate, Kristy Joiner.
Gifts of Securities
Greenhill accepts donations of securities at any dollar value. View instructions on handling gifts of securities here. It is very important that you or your financial advisor contact our Advancement Services Associate, Kristy Joiner in advance of the gift to ensure proper documentation and receipting.
Gifts in Kind
Greenhill accepts donations of equipment, materials and supplies that provide relief to the operating budget or align with our current priorities. Under certain circumstances and which Board approval, the School gifts of real estate may be accepted. For more information on the types of property the School is currently accepting, please contact the Advancement Office.
Matching Gifts
If your employer offers a matching gift program, you may be able double or even triple your donation to Greenhill School. Such programs typically match all or a percentage of employee contributions to eligible charitable organizations. Please contact your employer’s personnel office for eligibility requirements and to obtain a matching gift form. Next, complete the form and provide it to Greenhill School with your contribution. Our office will coordinate the remaining steps with your employer.
Gifts in Honor, Memoriam, or Celebration
A meaningful way to honor a special occasion or remember a loved one is to make a gift to Greenhill in honor or memory of that person. Donors wishing to make a gift in memoriam may make a gift to the General Endowment Fund or Greenhill Fund in honor of your loved one or establish an endowed fund with a minimum initial gift of $100,000.
Qualified Charitable Distribution
If you are 70 1/2 or older, you may give up to $105,000 from your taxable IRA each year to a public charity such as Greenhill. Taking advantage of this option counts toward the minimum withdrawal requirement from your account each year and may reduce your taxable income. Also known as a QCD or IRA charitable rollover.
Donor-Advised Funds
Contribute to a tax-exempt fund at a sponsoring organization such as a community foundation, then recommend contributions to Greenhill whenever you wish. You will receive an income tax deduction when you contribute to the donor-advised fund (DAF) and have the flexibility to support charities of your choice, in an easy, cost-effective way.
