Hornets Suffer Losses in SPC-Counter Action Matches
The Greenhill girls soccer team has had a tough time in SPC-counter matches, suffering losses to Trinity Valley and Hockaday this week.
The Greenhill girls soccer team started its 2024-2025 SPC run on January 14 against Trinity Valley School at home. Eden Collins scored an upper 90 shot from outside the penalty box early in the match, but that would be the only time the girls got on the board. They fell to the Trojans, 1-3. The girls looked to bounce back on January 16 as they faced Hockaday School on their turf. While the game didn’t end the way the Hornets wanted, 3-6 in favor of the Daises, the girls had a lot of shining moments. Getting on the board for Greenhill were: Alex Han with a goal in the second half, Isa Tanner with a one-touch finish from Alex Han – earning her an assist, and Raelyn Young scored a header off a Sadie Werner serve.
