Hornets Open Season to a Nailbiter on the Road

The Greenhill football team came up just short of the win against Trinity Christian Academy after a missed field goal.

The Greenhill football team opened the 2024 season on the road against Trinity Christian Academy on August 30, with the Hornets coming up just shy of the win. In a last-second attempt to win the game, the field goal didn’t go the Hornet’s way, leaving the scoreboard showing 29-28 in favor of the Trojans.

Quarterback Will Black threw for an impressive 386 yards and 3 touchdowns. His main target was Trey Davis who brought in 10 catches for 157 yards. Josiah Christian ran for 10 yards. Scoring for the Hornet were, Trey Davis (12 points), Noah Piper (8 points), and Bryson Watt (8 points).
