We are so happy your family is joining our community. The early childhood and elementary years are fun, fascinating, and friendly! We are excited to partner with you as we guide your child through these important years of social-emotional, academic, and personal development. We are charting a course for the future!

The Preschool and Lower School is a joyful place where our students establish the foundation that will prepare them for their learning journey throughout their time at Greenhill.

Over the summer, we will be building important connections between students, families, and teachers. Our hope is that when your student arrives on campus full-time in August, they will see familiar faces and Greenhill will quickly feel like home.

Please watch for important communication from our Parents' Association, Greenhill, and the Preschool & Lower School over the summer.

Welcome! We can’t wait for the next school year to begin!

Preparing for the School Year

2. Upload your Parent/Guardian Photo in your MyGreenhill profile on the Contact Card. Due May 1. Please note: This photo will be used on your parent/guardian badge for the 2026-2027 school year. DUE MAY 15: Classroom Placement Questionnaire
The process of assembling the homeroom groupings for the 2026-2027 academic year begins in late spring and continues through the end of the school year. This process is complex and includes input from administrators, teachers, and parents/guardians. As we determine the composition of a given class, we consider a variety of factors, including boy/girl ratio, unique learning styles, and social relationships among students. Achieving a balanced classroom for our students is our overall goal as we consider these factors.

We know that you care deeply about your students' learning environment, and your input is integral to the information gathered for the placement process. To ensure we accurately capture your observations and feedback about your student, we use an online form to give you the opportunity to share your insights. The questionnaire allows you to give us your observations about your student's learning style and the environmental characteristics that will help them thrive. We do not honor requests for specific teachers.

Please complete this form to give your input by Friday, May 15, at 10:00 pm.
DUE JUNE 1: Health Forms

Please help us provide the best care possible for your students by submitting your health information on time. Student Health & Medical Eligibility Form: The physical examination must be completed by a physician and uploaded to MyGreenhill.

Lower School Summer Workbook Distribution Form
Greenhill provides an optional summer workbook for Lower School families (Primer – Grade 4) to use as a resource for keeping skills sharp over the summer. These books are created by our teaching teams to provide students with a chance to review and reinforce what they have already learned and practice reading, writing, and arithmetic.

We give the workbooks to our current students at our end-of-year conferences. For new families, we ask that you complete this form to let us know how we can get you your student's book, or if you will come pick it up.

Resources
Technology

At Greenhill, we have a 1:1 device program for students in prekindergarten through twelfth grade. Prekindergarten through second grade have access to classroom iPads. Third and fourth grade use laptops, which remain in the classroom. Because we want to ensure the devices our students use support learning in the classroom, the cost of classroom technology is incorporated into tuition.
