Successful First Competition for First Lego League

Two First Lego League (FLL) teams from Greenhill’s Middle School competed in the North Texas Regional Qualifier Competition held at Trinity High School in Euless, Texas, this past weekend. First Lego League, which is designed to introduce students ages 9-14 to science and technology, involves a series of judged events, combined with a robot game in which students accrue points by programming a robot to complete a specific mission.

Greenhill’s two FLL teams, Delta X and Insert Team Name, scored in the top ten of the more than 30 schools competing. Delta X’s combined score across all four activities earned the team a spot in the Regional Championship at Parish Episcopal School on February 14, 2015.

“Both of us are so proud of the effort, commitment, and overall team spirit these students demonstrated throughout the day and throughout this entire year,” shared Don Myers, co-FLL coach with Stacey Wink.

Congratulations Greenhill First Lego League on a fabulous first competition!
