Southwest Preparatory Conference Announces Spring Honors

The Southwest Preparatory Conference announced on Monday that Greenhill School had 29 student-athletes honored with spring all-conference recognition.
 
The girls track and field team had a team-high nine all-conference award winners with Jernaya Sharp leading the way. The Greenhill sophomore earned all-conference laurels in five events, including the 100-meter dash, 4x100-meter relay, 4x400-meter relay, long jump and triple jump.
 
Kelli Banks earned all-conference honors in a trio of events, including 100-meter hurdles, 4x400-meter relay and triple jump while Ellen Margaret Andrews notched honors in the 4x100-meter relay and 4x400-meter relay. Hope Rovner and Rheagan Smith both earned all-conference honors in the 4x100-meter relay, and Camille Andrews earned all-conference recognition in the 4x400-meter relay. Logan McGill and Amelia Jones each earned all-conference honors in the high jump and pole vault, respectively, while Zoe Williams earned all-conference accolades in the shot put.
 
The boys track and field team had six student-athletes earn all-conference honors, including the 4x400-meter relay team of Justin Estrada, Dylan Roberts, Douglas Smith and Paulo Smith. Senior Jalen Sharp earned all-conference laurels in the 100-meter dash, and Trey Anderson was honored in the high jump.
 
Senior Grant Solomon earned all-conference honors for the fourth consecutive time after leading the Hornets to a SPC Championship in boys tennis. Solomon was joined by two-time winner Hank Golman and junior Chris Jones, a first-time award winner.
 
The girls tennis team - who finished second in the conference tournament - was led by a pair of award winners in Julie Reisler and Madhuri Deo. The softball program also had a pair of first-time award winners in juniors Danielle Black and Caitlin Hoagland.
 
The boys lacrosse team had a trio of award winners with Luke Wagner leading the way with his second all-conference nod. Daniel Spomer and Colby Denesuk each became first time award winners for the Hornets. Brianna Kessler earned all-conference for the second time in her career while Emily Fine was a first-time winner - both representing the girls lacrosse program.
 
Jassem Setayesh earned all-conference recognition for the second consecutive season for the boys golf team while Alan Bliss became a first-time award winner for the baseball program.
